This article explains how to connect Silverfin with Sage BCA to synchronise accounting data. Once the connection is established, any changes made in Sage BCA will sync with Silverfin.

How to set up synchronisation with Sage BCA on the firm level?
Only users with admin rights can set up synchronisation on the firm level.
To establish the connection, please follow these steps:
- In the firm overview screen click on the 'Syncs' tab.
- Click the 'Add new sync' button and choose 'Bookkeeping sync'.
- From the drop-down menu, choose Sage BCA sync and click 'Connect'. Provide a name to your synchronisation.
- You will be redirected to the accounting software login page. Select your Country, and then log-in with your Sage Business Cloud Accounting account details.
You cannot set up multiple integrations in one sitting without first logging out of Sage Business Cloud Accounting.
How to set up synchronisation with Sage BCA on the file level?
To link existing synchronisation with the client file, please perform the following steps:
- Go to the file and click on the ' Edit client' button.
- Click on the 'Sync' tab.
- Click 'Set up Sync'.
- Choose one of the provided synchronisation scenarios. If you choose the first scenario, you will be promoted to set up sync transfer date.
- Choose Sage from the list of available synchronisations and choose a sync reference.
Figures are updated automatically every night with the latest data in Silverfin. To retrieve updated figures during the day, use the synchronisation arrows next to the client file name.
How to reconnect (re-authenticate) synchronisation with Sage Business Cloud Accounting?
Sometimes, the sync with Sage is lost and needs to be renewed for data to continue syncing with Silverfin. This can occur if access rights to the data have been accidentally revoked or if the connection becomes invalid after a certain period.
There’s no need for concern; no work will be lost. The link needs to be re-established for the sync to resume.
To reconnect synchronisation, perform the following steps:
- Go to the sync page at the firm level
- Click on the sync you need to reconnect.
- Click 'Reconnect' button.
- You will be redirected to the accounting software login page. Select your country, and then log-in with the account details of user who set up synchronisation. If you're redirected immediately, it means you're already logged in. To use a different user, log out of the bookkeeping system first, then repeat the steps.
Does Silverfin support sync of documents from Sage BCA?
Silverfin supports syncing documents. Once a document is linked to a transaction in Sage BCA, it will appear in Silverfin as well. Depending on the number of documents, it may take some time for all of them to become visible in Silverfin after the sync is complete.
