This article explains why attachments in your exports may have larger margins and provides simple solutions to reduce these margins for a cleaner layout.

Table of contents

Key information

  • Attachments are treated as images rather than text. To fit the header and footer of the export, the attachment is scaled down, which results in additional margins being applied.
  •  It's not possible to completely eliminate margins due to the way attachments are handled in the export.

How to reduce margins from attachments in your exports

Reduce export style margins

Lowering the margins in the export style will affect the entire export, including the attachment. Adjust this in the style settings.

  • open the style settings of the bundle you are using in the file.
  • modify the relevant field in the style settings.
  • save changes.
  • generate export in the file using adjusted style bundle.

Adjust margins in the original document

We recommend this approach. Decrease the margins in the document before you attach it. This will help minimize the margin size in the final export.

Style settings can be adjusted only by users with admin rights.
