Why are my figures incorrect after I change my year-end in Xero?

When you update your year-end in Xero, the new period automatically syncs with Silverfin. However, you might notice that some figures appear incorrect.

Simply put, your transactions from prior periods may not be correctly allocated, which leads to discrepancies in Silverfin.

What should I do if my figures are incorrect?

If you find that your figures are inaccurate, contact Silverfin Support and let them know that you have changed your year-end in Xero. They will help you resolve the issue. To speed this up, please provide the following details:

  • Link to the client file
  • First financial year (DD/MM/YYYY) - (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Current financial year (DD/MM/YYYY) - (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Prior financial years (DD/MM/YYYY) - (DD/MM/YYYY)
