Key Information

  • After archiving unused nominal accounts in Xero, you might wonder if they will still sync to Silverfin. The answer is: Yes, they will
  • Although these accounts no longer hold value in Xero, Silverfin syncs all client data, including transactions from archived accounts. Ignoring these accounts could cause an 'Unbalanced' warning and affect your balance sheet.
  •  To help, Silverfin highlights archived accounts by adding "(archived)" next to them on the mapping screen.

What You Can Do

  • Map it as a live account if the account was recently used. 
  • Map it to suspense account if it hasn't been used for some time and you’re confident it won't affect current or prior year figures. 

Following these steps ensures your data remains accurate and your balance sheet stays in order in Silverfin.
