To sync Companies House data with Silverfin, you first need to establish the connection between the two platforms. Follow the steps below to create the required API key. Once the key is in place, use the linked article to complete the synchronisation.

How do I create the API key in Companies House?

  1. Access the Companies House portal at https://developer.company-information.service.gov.uk/manage-applications/add.
  2. Enter a name and description for your application in the required fields. Make sure to select Live as the environment for your application.
  3. Click Create to generate your application.
  4. Select the application you have just created.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Create new key.
  6. On the next page, fill in the required details and select REST as the key type.
