Please perform a sync switch and select QuickBooks again to re-authorise Silverfin.

We were unable to access your data in QuickBooks with credentials used by this sync. Please ensure that the user who set up this sync has full access to the file in QuickBooks.


Explanation:

These messages indicate that Silverfin is unable to access QuickBooks data due to credential issues. This can happen if:

  • The credentials are no longer valid.
  • The user who set up the sync does not have full access to the file.

What you can do:

To resolve this, re-authenticate the sync by logging into QuickBooks using valid credentials. Make sure to use the login details of a user who has access to the file being synced.

How to re-authenticate QuickBooks sync?

  1. Go to the file and click on the 'Edit client' button.

  2. Navigate to the Sync tab.
  3. Click the Disconnect from QuickBooks button. 
  4. Click the Switch Sync button.
  5. Choose a synchronisation scenario. If you select the first option, you will be prompted to set a sync transfer date.
  6. From the list of available synchronisations, select QuickBooks.
  7. Click Save Changes.
  8. You will be redirected to the Xero login page. Log in using the credentials of a user who has access to the file.

Other common errors when syncing with Quickbooks

Error:

 QuickBooks server experienced an internal error during the sync. Please try syncing again.

This message indicates that there is an issue on QuickBooks side.

Error:

We were unable to complete the sync due to the large amount of data in your QuickBooks file. Please contact Silverfin support.


Explanation:

This message indicates that there is large amount of data coming from QuicBooks for Silverfin to process. 

  1. Please try syncing again.
  2. If you’re facing a tight deadline, you can cancel the sync and manually upload the necessary data
