- On-Premise Syncs
- SDK Syncs
- Overview of available synchronisations
- What about client licences?
We categorise them as bookkeeping and administration packages, further divided into online syncs and on-premise syncs. Online syncs operate via the cloud, while on-premise syncs are hosted on a local server. The method of connection varies significantly between these types.
Online/Cloud Syncs
Cloud-based packages are connected to Silverfin through a user with access to the relevant files. Setting up a cloud package is free. Detailed information about common online syncs is available in our knowledge base. For further enquiries, reach out to Silverfin Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
On-Premise Syncs
To connect an on-premise package, a sync service needs to be installed on your local server. For this, we will require the contact details of your IT partner so that they can grant us access. Your CSM can assist with this process and provide pricing details.
SDK Syncs
An SDK sync is a type of on-premise sync that reads and syncs export files generated by the package itself. Like other on-premise syncs, it requires installation on your server. To set this up, provide the contact details of your IT partner to your CSM. SDK sync is a paid feature.

Odoo On-Premise is possible, but it is considered an online synchronisation within the Silverfin configuration. This approach does not require an additional sync service, unlike other on-premise synchronisations.
What about client licences?
If the licence for the accounting package is managed by your customer, or the server is hosted by your customer, it is still possible to create a working connection in Silverfin. In addition, a single licence can be connected across multiple Silverfin environments. Depending on the sync type, please refer to the specific sync article for more information.
