- You may encounter blank pages in exports or errors when uploading a PDF in Silverfin. The issue is often caused by a corrupted or broken PDF file.
- This usually happens when a PDF is saved directly from systems (for example bookkeeping system) that don’t follow standard PDF formatting.
- Even if the PDF opens correctly in applications like Adobe Acrobat or Mac’s Preview, it may still contain hidden errors.
How to Fix corrupted PDF in Silverfin
Use one of the following methods to repair and re-upload your PDF:
Re-save via Preview (Mac)
- Open the PDF in Preview (built-in on all Macs).
- Go to File > Export.
- Choose PDF as the format and save the file.
- Upload the newly saved PDF to Silverfin.
Re-save via Adobe Acrobat Reader (Windows or Mac)
- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Go to File > Save As.
- Save it again as a PDF file.
- Upload this new version to Silverfin.
Print to PDF (Mac or Windows)
- Open the PDF in any viewer.
- Go to File > Print.
- Select Save as PDF.
- Save a file on your computer.
- Upload the new file to Silverfin.
