Quick ways to access a client file in Silverfin
In Silverfin, there are two efficient ways to quickly access a client file, depending on where you are within the platform.
- From the firm's overview page
When you log in to Silverfin or click on the top-left logo, you'll land on the firm's overview page. Here, depending on the number of client files, you'll either see:- List of clients: If a list is displayed, simply click on the client's name to access their file.
- Search bar: If a search bar appears, start typing the client's name, and your options will appear. Search bar apeears when you have more than 10 files in your environment.
- Using the Control/Command + J Shortcut
This shortcut is a game-changer. Think of 'J' as in 'Jump'—it lets you quickly "jump" to any client file, account, reconciliation, or report, regardless of where you are in Silverfin. Simply press 'Ctrl' (or 'Cmd' on a Mac) followed by 'J' on your keyboard, and the search bar will appear.
