Managing document visibility in Silverfin

You can choose to make documents either public or private. Public documents are visible to Pulse users who have access to the file. To keep documents hidden from your client, place them in a private folder.

Key information

  • Individual documents are public by default and visible to Pulse users.
  • Individual documents cannot be made private.
  • Pulse user does not have access to 'Period-specific documents' section in Documents tab.

Identifying folders

  • A red eye with a slash means the folder is private and not visible to Pulse users.
  • No red eye icon means the folder or document is public and visible to Pulse users.

How to make a folder public?

If you wish to give Pulse user access to documents stored in a private folder, you need to make it public.

  1. Click on the name of the folder.
  2. Click 'Actions' button, then select  'Make public'.

This will allow Pulse users to access documents in the previously private folder.
