This template is used to explain an action to a customer. The title always starts with "How do I...".

NL: Hoe...

FR: Comment...



For example: OLD - Annual Accounts custom configuration | NEW: How do I customise my Annual Accounts templates.


Each article only for admin users should have a sentence at the end of the article stating. 

ENG: "This is an action that can only be performed by an admin user. If you do not have these rights, contact an admin users within your firm."

NL: " Dit is een actie die enkel een admin gebruiker kan uitvoeren. Als je deze rechten niet hebt, contacteer dan een admin gebruiker binnen jouw organisatie." 

FR: "Il s'agit d'une action qui ne peut être effectuée que par un utilisateur administrateur. Si vous ne disposez pas de ces droits, contactez un administrateur utilisateur au sein de votre bureau."


You then continue with the solution of how the action is performed. 

  • Make sure the solution is explained in steps.
  • Continue with the outcome of the steps.
  • Highlight key words in a action step in bold.
  • Highlight key words in an outcome step in italic.
  • Example:
    • Open the config file
    • The config file is displayed on your screen
  • Always fill in the SEO - add the article to the Google Sheet overview.


! Always follow the style guide to write articles. Link with all information + short summary underneath.
  • Skitch and red color for screenshots.
  • Write like you explain something to your parents.
  • "Hey mate" is too informal and "My dearest" too formal--> use language in between.
  • Be polite but do not use the word "please".
  • Write in British English. (customise and not customize), NL and FR: Tutoyer.
  • Stick to the template.
