This article explains how to connect Silverfin with Business Central (BoCount Dynamics required) to synchronise bookkeeping data. Once the connection is established, any changes made in Business Central will sync with Silverfin.
To establish the connection with Business Central please follow these steps:
- In the firm overview screen click on the 'Syncs' tab.
- Click the 'Add new sync' button and choose 'Bookkeeping sync'.
- From the drop-down menu, choose (BoCount Dynamics required) and click 'Connect'.
- Fill in the relevant fields.
Important information
- The Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret can be provided to you by BoCount Dynamics.
- A direct connection to Microsoft Business Central won't work if the client_url is in the format:
https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/:UUID/:DATABASE_NAME.
Instead, use: https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/v2.0/:UUID/:DATABASE_NAME, where v2.0 is the current API version (subject to change). - Only users with admin rights can set up synchronisation on the firm level.
- BoCount Dynamics is required to set up the sync.
