In workflows, you can use stars to indicate whether a template should be controlled and explained.

Once a reconciliation or an account receives a star, a red triangle or a green sphere appears. A red triangle indicates that the template has not yet been checked and reconciled. A green sphere means that an account or a reconciliation has been reconciled.

If a template has a zero value and requires no further explanation, you will also see a green sphere. However, if there is a movement that changes the template value, you will see a red triangle, indicating that it has not been explained yet.

A star also ensures that you can export or link the account or reconciliation to other accounts/reconciliations. If it does not have a star, it will not be found in the export screen or dropdown menu in other accounts/reconciliation.

Stars also influence the workflow progress bar. As depicted in the image below, you can observe that reconciliations and accounts marked with a star impact workflow progression:

Good to know!

If you star a template in period 2024, it will also automatically receive a star in subsequent periods (2025, 2026 and so on) until you decide to remove the star. For instance, if you choose to remove the star in 2025, it will no longer appear in future periods. This streamlines the process, sparing you the task of repeatedly adding or removing stars from important comments or accounts in your files every year.
