This article explains how the Pulse feature displays Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as trends in the Pulse template within a client file. It also outlines the criteria for transactions to appear and the supported accounting packages.

Table of contents

Key Information

  • Pulse feature allows to display Accounts Receivable  and Accounts Payable as a trend in the Pulse template in a client file. Pulse user can click on a balance to view the related transactions.
  • The balances shown always reflect the most recent entries from your accounting system. Adjusting the period within Pulse does not alter these balances, as historical balances are not supported.

How it works

To appear in Pulse, a transaction must meet all three of the following conditions:

  1. An invoice can be found for the booking.
  2. The booking is unmatched (no offsetting bookings) and therefore still outstanding.
  3. It falls under either Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable.

If any of these conditions are not met, the transaction will not appear in Pulse.

Balances and matching

  • Silverfin does not support matching from your accounting software but compares balances instead. This means the total balance will always be correct, but you may sometimes see transactions that have already been matched in your bookkeeping system.
