This article explains how to handle and update administration sync information in Silverfin, ensuring your data is always current and accurate.
Initial Sync
When you first access a reconciliation, a yellow banner appears at the top of the screen. This banner alerts you that additional information from the administration sync has not yet populated your current template.
Populating the Data
To fill in the missing details, click the "Use the data from x sync" button on the right side of the screen. This action will automatically populate the necessary fields, and the yellow banner will disappear.
However, if you manually overwrite any fields in the template, the yellow banner will reappear the next time the file is synced, signalling that there are updates to review.
Updating Information
Whenever data changes in the administration sync, the yellow banner will return upon resync. At that point, you can choose to update the fields by syncing the latest information from your administration sync.
Following these steps helps maintain an accurate and up-to-date record in Silverfin.
