What does the yellow banner in a template mean?
When you first access a reconciliation, a yellow banner appears at the top of the screen. This banner alerts you that additional information from the administration sync has not yet populated your current template.
How do I pull administration sync data into a template?
To fill in the missing details, click the Use the data from x sync button on the right side of the screen. This action automatically populates the necessary fields, and the yellow banner disappears.
If you manually overwrite any fields in the template, your value stays in place and is not replaced by the sync. The yellow banner reappears the next time the file is synced, signalling that newer data from the administration sync is available if you want to use it.
What happens when data changes in my administration package?
Whenever data changes in the administration sync, the yellow banner returns upon resync. At that point, you can choose to update the fields by syncing the latest information from your administration sync.
Why is old data still showing in Silverfin after it was deleted in my administration package?
When a value in your administration package is emptied, Silverfin does not delete the value that was synced previously. The old value stays in the client file until something replaces it.
When a value in your administration package is replaced by a new value rather than emptied, the data item is overwritten with the new value on the next sync.
To clear a value that has been emptied in your administration package, remove the administration synchronisation from the client file and link it again. The file then repopulates with the current data from your administration package, so the emptied value no longer appears. See How to remove/update administration sync in a file? for the steps.
