Most synchronisations are built and maintained by Silverfin, and you can find them in our overview of accounting packages that sync with Silverfin. Bookkeeping software vendors can also build their own connector through our SyncAPI. This article explains what a third-party sync is, how the data reaches Silverfin, which software currently uses it, and who to contact when something goes wrong.

What is a third-party sync?
The SyncAPI is Silverfin's interface for syncing bookkeeping software. The software vendor builds a connector that sends bookkeeping data into Silverfin. You may experience this as syncing through your bookkeeping software, but it is the vendor, not Silverfin, that controls how you can send the data.
How often does data arrive in Silverfin?
That depends on how the vendor has built their connector. Data can arrive:
- On demand - when the sync is triggered in the vendor's software.
- Overnight or periodically - on a scheduled run.
- On demand via Silverfin - if the vendor is able to receive our request to send data, the Sync button in Silverfin is active. If not, the sync needs to be started in the vendor's software.
If you cannot find a synchronisation button in your vendor's software, or the Sync button in Silverfin does not work, contact your vendor for more information.
Which software connects to Silverfin?
The following packages connect to Silverfin through the SyncAPI:
| Software | Status | More information |
| Admisol | Available | Admisol x Silverfin: een integratie waar je alles over wil weten (in Dutch) info@admisol.com |
| Iniflow | Available | support@iniflow.be |
| OfficeM (Intradev Software) | Available | info@intradev.be |
| WinAuditor.NET API | Available | support@winauditor.com |
How do I set up a third-party sync?
You set up and start the sync in your bookkeeping software, not in Silverfin. The steps differ per vendor, so follow the vendor's own instructions.
What should I do if the sync is not working?
- Contact your software vendor first. Silverfin does not control how the data is sent and cannot look into the details, so the vendor is the right first point of contact for anything to do with the integration. If they need assistance, they can contact us directly.
- Check that the sync has run in your software. Because the sync is triggered on the vendor's side, data that has not been sent yet will not appear in Silverfin.
